Lori Jones

My name is Lori Jones and I grew up in the Evansville area. Growing up in a rural area allowed me plenty of space to ride bikes and explore. I remember playing a lot of softball with my brother, sister, and neighborhood kids which gave me plenty of play mates. We always had dogs of some kind as I was growing up. That probably explains why I have always been a dog lover. Besides being a wife for almost 16 years, we have 4 fur babies, 3 dogs and my husband’s cat.

I have been working in child care since finishing high school. I really feel a calling for it because it gives me great joy and satisfaction watching the children grow, develop, and mature. I feel a great sense of pride and happiness knowing that I have had a big part in so many different children’s experiences. I have experience with infants up to preschool, but I really don’t have a favorite age group. I have been at St. Vincent Early Learning Center for over 25 years. I am currently a float and have completed my Child Development Association (CDA).Being a part of SVELC allows me to interact with different children from different cultures, which allows me to constantly learn and grow every day. Being able to help raise the next generation is a true privilege for me.

During my free time I love to go camping, being outdoors, but especially spending time with my immediate family and close friends and furry kids.
