Hello, my name is Julie, but most everyone (even my family) calls me “JuJu”!!  I actually got that nickname from a family who brought their children to SVELC and it has been with me ever since. I started working with children in 1989 and got the call to serve the families of SVELC in September of 1992, and are currently still here working with the children. Working with children is the only occupation I have ever wanted to do and I have taken care of all ages. I love watching all the children of SVELC grow, learn, explore, smile, laugh, and cuddle them when they need hugs. I also enjoy the relationships I have built over the years with families.  Hearing stories about children I took care of and how they are doing and if they remember me always makes me feel good.

I received my associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Ivy Tech Community College Evansville in 2021.  In my spare time I enjoy going to Bloomington to visit my brother and his family, watching IU Basketball and St. Louis Baseball. I love listening to music, and I enjoy going to Disney World.  My favorite color is purple, favorite food is pizza and steak, and season is Christmas.
